2 November – Karori Cemetery – Consul Kazimerz and Maria Wodzicki

As part of the anniversary of the arrival of the Polish Children to New Zealand, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Zbigniew Gniatkowski invites the Polish Community in Wellington to join him in laying flowers at the grave of Kazimerz and Maria Wodzicki at the Karori Cemetery on Saturday 2nd November (All Soul’s Day) at 10:30am.

Kazimerz was the Polish Consul to New Zealand during World War 2. His wife Maria was instrumental in organising the invitation for the Polish Children to come to New Zealand.
