Pilgrimage to Paraparaumu - In Memory of Soviet Deportations

Each year the survivors of the mass deportations of Poles to Siberia and their families gather to pray together in thanksgiving and remembrance at Our Lady of Kapiti Church in Paraparaumu. After mass they will make their way by foot or by car up the hill to say the rosary at the the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes. The Polish Association is currently sorting transport from Lower Hutt and Wellington. BOOKINGS FOR TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL.

10.00am - Vans departing Waterloo train station - Wainuiomata side (transporting those who have booked - spaces still available)

11.30am - Mass at Our Lady of Kapiti Paraparaumu, followed by visit to the Our Lady of Lourdes statue. There will be transport available for those who are unable to walk to the statue.

1.30pm (approximately) - Lunch at Coastlands

2.30pm - Drive back to Lower Hutt
