The largest Polish arts festival outside of Poland is coming to Wellington, New Zealand for the first time. A celebration of Polish culture through dance, theatre, performance, cuisine, writers, workshops and more.
PolArt 2025 – Wellington
It is with great pride and joy that we announce the next location for PolArt 2025 is Wellington, New Zealand. After a year of preparation, a flawless and detailed proposal, to host the next PolArt Festival in Wellington New Zealand, was accepted and unanimously voted in by the members of PolArt Incorporated (PolArt Inc) at their Annual General Meeting in Sydney Australia on the 1 January 2023. Letters of support from our Polish Embassy, the Mayor of Wellington and our own Polish Association accompanied the proposal. Our thanks to the diligence of the Proposal Committee for their excellent work in preparing the hosting bid.
The 16th PolArt Festival will celebrate and showcase performing and visual artists of Polish descent and Polish born from throughout New Zealand and Australia. It will include dance groups, theatre groups, writers, photographers, films, cuisine, choirs, workshops and all things Polish. It will be a wonderful expression of our Polish culture and a great way for our people to share our love of the arts with the wider communities of New Zealand and with our Australian visitors in Wellington, our cultural capital.
